On Monday, Hp Launched Four New Probooks In Varying Screen Sizes
Though the screen at times responded quite well, other times it seemed to lose calibration, making our tapping inaccurate. Other times, the touch response was laggy, and slow to respond in the way that Atom-powered Netbooks often just slow down for no reason at all. The end result was frequent frustration, as when we tried to watch Hulu on Internet Explorer and found the experience an uncomfortable ballet of missed presses and delayed gesture-reactions.

The school district's tech crew could switch on built-in Web cams without a user's permission or knowledge. It allowed school administrators to see the room in which the laptop was located, and whoever and whatever was in front of the screen. The school spy could snap pictures and even erase any digital footprints.

Should I get a Sony or HP laptop?
Heading off to college next year and looking for a reliable laptop. Don't really care about the screen size as long as it's under 5 lbs (but the larger the better?) I think I've narrowed down my search down to a Sony VAIO SR or HP dv4t. I have never used a Sony or HP laptop so please help.

The Sony Laptop. Even though it's more expensive, it's quality is better and a lot more light. The processor is also better 64-bit with 32-bit is not much different so...
The screen for Sony is also slightly better.
If you want your laptop to last longer, pick Sony!
